Too long; didn't read: Download Game Tuner from the Play Store and set it to "Maximum Quality" to make your phone work with our apps again.
Dear app users,
Recently, Samsung updated many of their phones to automatically use their new Game Tuner optimizations by default. As an owner of a Samsung phone or tablet, it's worth knowing what Game Tuner is and how it works, and why it can potentially interfere with screenshot importing in Word Breaker and Snap Cheats.
With massive screens and resolutions above full HD, gaming on modern cell phones takes a LOT of power. Maybe too much power. Game Tuner makes games and apps use a lot less power meaning your phone can play them more smoothly, even if that also means your game looks blurrier as a result. People love Game Tuner, and it's a great idea, but it can cause glitches that a game developer can't account for.
When you run a game, the game talks to Android to get information about your phone, such as the resolution of your screen and how much of that screen it can use to render itself. Game Tuner falsifies this information, making your game think it's on a device with fewer resources and much less power.
When you take a screenshot, it saves a pristine, full resolution image of your game. However, when our apps ask Android for the system information mentioned above, Game Tuner lies about what device you're using. Because the screenshot doesn't match the device information, our apps don't know where to find your game board or tile rack.
Truthfully, our apps are designed to try to work around this. When we detect something strange happening, we make a best guess at your device information based on the fake information Game Tuner gives us. However, there is only so much we can do and some users still get errors.
All you have to do is turn off Game Tuner:
Now when you import a screenshot, our app gets the correct information for your device and can solve your game board.
